3.  To initiate a bi-monthly magazine for school children of elementary school stage (6      to 14). The NCERT magazine will attempt to promote children’s literature of the      highest quality, drawing upon writers for children in Hindi and all other Indian      languages, in addition to the wealth of children’s literature in other countries of      South Asia and the rest of the world.
     NCERT will also bring out an annual compendium of writing of children themselves      from all over the country.
